
Bridget Hennessey currently runs the Advocacy Associates' California office. She joined the firm in February 2006 and brings with her a broad array of experience in social welfare policy, community development policy and legislative strategy. At Advocacy Associates, Bridget works directly with clients to plan, strategize and implement their legislative agendas. Bridget first came to Washington, DC to work for First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. Upon returning to Fairfield University in Connecticut to finish her undergraduate work, Bridget worked on local social welfare policy at the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition. Returning to Washington, DC in 2002 Bridget worked as the Legislative Affairs Coordinator for the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations in Washington, DC where she coordinated and implemented a comprehensive legislative strategy for the transportation reauthorization bill. Most recently, Bridget worked for Townsend Public Affairs, Inc, in California, where she represented the interests of municipal governments, non-profit organizations and private sector clients at the local, state and federal levels.
Bridget Hennessey holds an M.P.P., with a concentration in Welfare Policy, from the George Washington University and a B.A. from Fairfield University.
