When a small professional trade association wanted to capture the power of grassroots for its federal policy agenda, they called on Advocacy Associates to help create the network. Our team assisted with naming and branding, soliciting membership, developing a website, training advocates, creating a consistent process for outreach and action alerts and, most important, identifying the best means for sustaining the network without our help (you see, unlike some consultants, we help our clients get to the point where they don’t need us all the time—are we doing something wrong?)

Over the course of 2 years, the network quadrupled in size. During a major legislative overhaul, advocates played an important role in promoting the policy interests of the overall organization through e-mails, phone calls and even getting House leaders to visit their facilities!
